Italian porcelain tiles on a diagonal pattern are first floor coverings and plantation shutters dress the windows. Home retains most of the original 1970's floor plan, but the kitchen and den combination of that era has been converted to a kitchen with dining area where guests can enjoy a fire burning in the fireplace.

Great Motorcycle Trips

Great Motorcycle Trips
One Great Motorcycle Trip...starts with a beautiful bright blue sky when the air is crisp. North Carolina has perfect seasons for two wheeled road trips. There are two North Carolina Scenic Byways within close proximity to Belle Terre Farm and Guest Quarters. Designated by the NC Department of Transportation, these byways will give you the chance to experience a bit of North Carolina history, geography and culture. The routes are carefully selected to embody the diverse beauty and culture of the Tar Heel State. Following your bike tour, make your way back to Belle Terre Farm where you have options of slumber soirees that include a room in the main house, guest quarters on the grounds or camping under the stars. Come as a couple or as a group. At Belle Terre Farm, we offer a variety of unique accommodations. #1--The Uwharrie Scenic Road-Takes motorists through both the Uwharrie Mountains and the area known as the "Carolina Slate Belt" along N.C. 49 between Charlotte and Asheboro. #2--Mill Bridge Scenic Byway-Begins south of the historic town of Salisbury. From Mocksville, take Hwy 601 to Salisbury. Turn Right on Jake Alexander Blvd. At Food Lion, turn Left on Mooresville Rd. Turn Right on Sherrills Ford Rd. The seven-mile stretch of Sherrills Ford Road passes the Piedmont Agricultural Research Station. Turn Right on White Road. Stop to see the historic Presbyterian Church on the Right side. Continue and turn Right on NC 150 West. (If traveling by car, you can continue straight here to drive through a 3 and ½ mile exotic animal park) Otherwise, turn Right on Sloan Road. On Left is Sloan Park and historic Kerr Mill. Sloan Park has beautiful picnic shelters, clean bathrooms and a guided Historic Tree Trail with 76 varieties of labeled trees. Kerr Mill is historic landmark with functioning water wheel. Continue past Kerr Mill and turn Right on Hwy 150. Turn Left onto Caldwell Rd.
